The ClearSip water bottle is designed for water use. It's best to use tap water, spring water, or drinking water. It is not recommended to put soft drinks, juice, (chocolate) milk, or very fruity juices in the bottle, as these liquids can stick to the inside or hinder the UV-C function. If you do use other drinks, clean the bottle thoroughly with warm soapy water after each use to prevent residue buildup.

Thanks to the self-cleaning function, the bottle stays very hygienic, so you don't need to scrub it daily. If you only use water, a hand wash with warm soapy water once every few weeks is sufficient. You can occasionally wipe the mouthpiece or neck of the bottle with warm water and detergent, especially if you have also used juice, soda or coffee. After using other drinks, it is advisable to rinse or clean it briefly immediately.

Yes , the ClearSip water bottle is allowed in carry-on luggage on flights. Make sure your bottle is empty at the security checkpoint. Because the bottle is compact and made of stainless steel, you can take it with you almost anywhere. The UV-C system even makes unsafe water (such as from a stream or tap) immediately drinkable on the go by killing all pathogens. This way you always have safe water, even in countries where you would normally avoid tap water.

You can manually start a cleaning cycle by pressing and holding the display on the cap for 2 seconds. The bottle will then clean the water in 180 seconds. This way, you hardly have to do anything yourself to have clean water continuously.
